Throughout the ideation process, I was clear that the solution had to not only engage on a visual level but, it must be relevant, simple and able to cut through the noise. I conceived the idea and brought it to life and with our partner agency leading the interactive arm of the project, we were able to deliver a great campaign for the summer initiative.

Carl joined the Barrows team for a year and helped bring a new creative edge to our studio.
Carl is particularly great at seeking out alternative, unexpected perspectives when taking on a design or creative brief with an evident skill and passion for type results in unique, crafted design layouts.
As CD, Carl’s creative skill really helped me through a number of challenging projects.
An authentic awareness of urban culture helped on numerous occasions connecting with consumer targets for Brands like Rimmel, Goose Island and G-Star.
Pitches are always trying and a true test. We worked together on cracking core creative concepts for a variety of brands and one in particular stood out where his creative tenacity really come though on a pitch for G-Star.
Being a brand he was passionate about, Carl pushed himself to resolve a mediocre concept the studio had arrived at with only the weekend to go. He determined to put the bit between his teeth and plough on and arrived Monday with a new concept that both Barrows, and our digital partner Wavemaker bought into, and nurtured into the final result.
I’ll personally remember Carl’s collaborations well.
I look forward to keeping in touch with his career and also his personal development in art and painting.
Involvement
Scamping
I am able to unlock ideation potential with some simple line drawings to illustrate the most complex point. Currently I also use a Wacom that allows me to digitally scamp which is ultimately faster.
Culture
With an artistic background, roots in graffiti and various underground cultures, I am able to draw from a wide, and varied range of experiences that enable me to understand what is required, within the budget and time restrictions presented to me.
Project Management
Being able to see a project through, from intial pitching, project-planning, to working with remote developers and 3D artists. I am able to approach a project with knowledge what will aid the process from start to finish.
High-end Visuals
Having worked through a number of brand Guidelines, and Activation Toolkits, I understand how to evolve the tightest of brand comms. to always ensure the TOV is right, at every touch-point.
