Bringing a fun and ultimately personal touch to the gift offering from Grey Goose was the vision that delivered an experience throughout premium pop-up venues across Europe. With Hand-lettering artists, we crafted personal poems and odes of appreciation –with the product purchaser to capture heart warming messages with love.
RICHARD MORGAN, CREATIVE DIRECTOR GEOMETRY LONDON
Carl is one of those great designers who just clicks with the idea, the moment and the team. He has this wonderful easy-going nature that means, even if you're up against the tightest of deadlines, you know he's cool under pressure. He takes direction really well, and he wants to get right into the idea and bring it to life in the best possible way. He doesn't just design and create high-quality mac visuals, but he has a wonderful talent for creating hand-typography too. I'd love to work with Carl again, and hope to soon. Highly recommended.
Involvement
Hand-lettering
I've worked on a bunch of lettering briefs, over the years and this was no different. I created the 'Give Extraordinary' lock-up to imitate a finely crafted scroll-case. The bespoke 'odes' were also my hand gestures with a small brush.
Photography
Using a local, and trusted facility we captured the famous pose, with SKU in place with halo lighting techniques to compliment the matt finish Grey Goose is know for. The outcome needed some pixel adjustment, which was no issue.
Retouching
With all set photography, there will be a serious amount of editing to the overall composition. This was undertook with various drinking vessels and staging. We achieved a clean, crisp and notably premium finish overall.
Business analysis
This was trialled in London's Selfridges flagship store, where I am informed a number of 'reality' celebrities indulged into the experience –which, in turn raised the profile through social media. Winning!
